Simon CrawshawAs an award-winning chef (Le Gavroche and the Connaught Hotel), my years of experience have taught me that the secret to excellent food is having a superb team so let me introduce you to the backbone of The Three Horseshoes:
 

Simon Crawshaw - Chef Patron

I started my career at the prestigious Connaught Hotel in London where I spent 10 years with my mentor, Maitre Cuisiner Michel Bourdin, working my way up from apprentice to Sous-Chef.
 
I then spent a year at both Le Gavroche with Michel Roux jnr and at Chez Nico under Three Michelin-starred chef, Nico Ladenis. My experience also includes the famous J Sheekeys in the theatre district of London and 6 years at The Sloane Club in Chelsea.
 
In addition to the above experience, I have also been invited to cook for many dignitaries including The Queen of England and The Maharaja of Jodphur at his palaces in India. I'm a member of the esteemed Academy of Culinary Arts and in my spare time I enjoy judging cooking competitions and teaching primary school children about different foods and healthy eating.

James Norie - Head Chef

James first trained at Doncaster College in South Yorkshire where he gained his catering qualifications. Like me, his first position was at one of the early 1990's top hotels, The Goring in London. After 3 years' experience in the kitchen, James moved to the Connaught Hotel which is where we first worked together. The experience was a very positive one for both of us, which was why I was delighted in 1999 when James joined me as Senior Sous-Chef at the Sloane Club. Here we brought in sweeping changes to the whole restaurant and kitchen operation and in doing so, created a fantastic dining experience. In 2007 James chose to come and work at The Three Horseshoes. The rest is history.
 

Michael Connelly - Front of House Manager

Michael is from South Africa where he trained at The Ladysmith Royal Hotel. He worked in all areas of the hotel to acquire sound knowledge of what a guest wants and needs. When Michael left the Royal, he was banqueting manager and ran events from 12 people to 200, and is the first contact at the Three Horseshoes for any event you may have in mind. Before coming to England, Michael was food and beverage manager of a large hotel in South Africa. He joined the Three Horseshoes just after the renovations and has made the Inn as if it were his own. Michael looks forward to welcoming you soon.
